Dr. Adam Mugume serves as the Executive Director of Research and Policy at the Bank of Uganda (BOU), where he leads the central bank’s economic research, macroeconomic forecasting, and monetary policy formulation initiatives.
With over two decades of distinguished service in central banking and academic research, Dr. Mugume plays a pivotal role in shaping Uganda’s macroeconomic stability framework. His expertise spans monetary economics, econometrics, macro-modeling, and financial sector development. At the Bank of Uganda, his directorate is central to providing the empirical analysis and policy advice that guide the Monetary Policy Committee’s decisions, ensuring inflation control, exchange rate stability, and sustainable economic growth.
