Winifred Mary Tarinyeba Kiryabwire, is a Ugandan lawyer, academic and businesswoman who is the chairperson of DFCU Bank, a large commercial bank in that East African country. She was appointed to that position effective 1 April 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Tarinyeba Kiryabwire is a lawyer with over 20 years\u2019 experience and expertise in corporate law, corporate governance and financial sector regulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is a certified director with the Institute of Directors of UK and has wide experience in governance and oversight responsibilities in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors as well as global professional and standard-setting bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Tarinyeba Kiryabwire was the inaugural chairperson of the Women Business Advisory Council of dfcu.
She subsequently joined dfcu Limited as a non-executive director and in 2019, was appointed to the dfcu bank Board as non-executive director.
