Frank Molla

Certified as a master negotiator by Harvard and Strathmore Business School, Frank Molla joined MDP, Headquartered in Egypt, in 2024 as Managing Director-Africa to lead its expansion strategy in the cards, digital and processing space. With two decades of experience in the payment industry, an accomplished executive with experience across diverse markets from Europe, the Middle East & Africa.


Frank sits on three boards; He is the Digital Strategy Lead Advisor for the Digital Economy Advisory Council (DEAC) Zanzibar e-Government. (Advisory). LPC Global Logistics where he is the board member in charge of Business Strategy Development and Information Technology. Advisory Board member at the Fintech Association of Kenya.


Before MDP, Frank drove Mastercard’s business strategy in Eastern Africa through innovation and technology to build payment ecosystems and solutions. At American Express in Spain and the United Kingdom, he led efforts to identify, grow and defend the company’s market share in sub-Saharan Africa in the corporate multinational space and bank partnerships. His career started at Barclays Bank of Kenya now Absa where he held several senior commercial manager roles.


Frank is a graduate of Harvard Business School (Boston, USA) and Strathmore Business School in Kenya that gave him access to Nanyang Business School in Singapore, CIEBS Business School in Ghana and IESE Business School in Spain.
