UBA launches countrywide Financial Literacy campaign on radio media

After a period of quiet to allow Ugandans to watch the World Cup and enjoy Germany lifting the overall Trophy in glamour after trouncing Argentina in an exciting final match, Uganda Bankers Association (UBA) is planning to resume its Financial Literacy Campaign program which was started in December 2013. The launch was presided over by the Governor, Bank of Uganda Prof. Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile.

A series of presentations on UBC TV led by the Chief Executives of Banks were held between December 2013 and March 2014. Many Ugandans were prompted over different radio stations to attend the programs on UBC TV which used to take place on Wednesday evenings from 9.00 pm to 10.00 p.m.

This time, the Association has changed strategy and will resume the Financial Literacy Campaign in July 2014 with broadcasts of financial literacy programs on different radios stations in different languages covering all corners of the country.
